The universal "C" wing was introduced to the later Mk.V Spitfires in late 1941 and enabled increased armament to be introduced. The navalised version, named the Seafire, was very well suited to carrier operations and was used in many overseas campaigns along with the Mk.Vc land-based Spitfire. Length 194mm. Width 234mm.
